Painting in the Park, A Reminder to Refuel
Painting in the Park came about after spending a couple of hours painting in a local park, Kirby Park. I left small paintings behind, with little message written on the back ("have a nice day"). My hope was that someone would find them, and smile, and in some way have a better day because they found my little gift. I had such a good time painting there, I decided to do it more often, and the idea came about for this blog, Painting in the Park.
My original painting trip to Kirby Park was about refueling--getting out there and doing something I enjoyed, just for the sake of enjoying it. I want this blog to serve as a reminder to myself and others that everyone needs to stop, get outside, and refuel.
Goals:
Go to a park to paint. (Shoot for once a week)
Find different places to paint. (My favorite so far was on the wall at the beach, Ocean City, MD)
Leave mini paintings behind to share with strangers.
Encourage others to paint with me.
Encourage others to paint in parks and leave mini paintings behind.
Remind myself and others to refuel by getting outside and doing something they enjoy, like painting in the park.
